Castle Křivoklát – The return of forgotten statues

On an old wall along the lane to the castle gate is build eight empty basements for statues. The original statues are connected with years 1731-33. In these years there was erected probably by the folkish sculptor sculptures of St. Anthony, St. John The Evangelist, St. Florianus, St. Mary, St. Joseph, St. John of Nepomuk, St. Wenceslas there. According to the remained photography was on the forth basement (in direction to the castle) cross. Statues were probably removed after World War II. and placed to the depositary, but they aren't preserved till our days.
The contest is announced on new statues, for financing of it's production we need support of donors. The donor, who can support production of any statue, will be it's patron. The notice with his name on the basement will remind his act forever.

Chateau and parkland Veltrusy – Restoring after floods in 2002

The chateau Veltrusy together with unique natural landscape parkland with area of nearly 300 hectares is Czech landmark that was in 2002 the most destroyed by the floods. In spite of restoring works began immediately after disaster, the chateau is closed to the public till today. Reconstruction is needed as well for pavilions and greenhouses, above all is the restoration of parkland, originally created with idea of ornamental farm (ferme ornée).
